Life to me today.......
through all it's craziness, and stress, etc.......
My heart felt....at ease.....at peace........
I changed(certain) people in the world today, in my own way...and they changed me..........as if... neither was trying.
Today was good........the result?
I just want it to keep happening.....
such a good ride.........tho at times it doesn't seem like one....It is.....It truly is.....(in my heart)........

for me, it's important when i wake every morning and give thanks for that fact alone, to remind myself that although i have a muscular dystrophy-it does NOT have ME.

i have carried this message to literally thousands and i hope a grain of it sinks in.

i usta never wear shorts because of my braces...now it's an every hot day thing. because i became comfortable with the facts.

i didn't do anything to get this disease.
i couldn't have prevented it.
it's not going to get better.
it's going to get worse.
it's not going to kill me.
every day i can strap the braces on by myself and stand up i am as good as it gets.
i can teach others with empathy but refuse to wallow in pity, my own or anyone elses.
i can make it those extra steps...when IT is just around the corner...even if IT isn't.

i am glad for my life.
i can only control me.
one day at a time.
sometimes one hour at a time.

what does not kill me makes me stronger and wiser.

bring tomorrow on!
i can because i think i can.

I write this after reading so many articles, and seeing too many movies.....
The SOUL, well to me, is what matters........

I know many "good" looking people who are just
total snobs who think they are better than
anyone else....they have no inner beauty...
they are just plain ugly....

Some people who were friends of mine often say
to me, why do you talk to just anyone? why do
you talk to that person? cant you see how they
look or how they are dressed? i explain to them
it doesnt matter how you look or dress, if you
are kind, you deserve to have friends no matter
how you look......my ex used to do that to me...
tell me i hung out with some of the "trash" of
town just because he didnt like the way they looked
or dressed.......but guess what.....they are the
very people who helped me pick myself up and get
my life back together after some of the beatings
i took from him.....so he is the one that lost out
cause he is alone now....well except for his
boyfriend....(NO i dont want to explain that one*L*)

Beauty isnt only skin deep.....I agree....beauty
is in the soul.....not the skin
